SUPPORTING LEAGUE STRATEGY WITH AN INNOVATIVE STRUCTURE
Challenge
The UAE Pro League wanted to develop a new and innovative competition structure, that would help to grow the appeal of league.
Solution
Using our industry leading intelligence we developed and recommended a new league format in keeping with the league’s strategy and objectives, while optimising the competition’s potential for quality, jeopardy, and fan connection as well as incorporating qualitative strategic considerations.
Impact
The new format was ratified by league governance and will be implemented from the 2023/24 season. We also provided competition schedule principles to optimise the new competition format within the broader UAE and International football calendar.
