Together with our clients, we are shaping the future of sport.

Scope and Impact

Working as a key member of the Commercial team, you will work closely with our Chief Commercial & Strategy Officers, and alongside our cross functional team, to cultivate key client relationships, and to sell and deliver best-in-class solutions to a market consisting of rights holders, media companies, brands, betting operators, and investors.

Those who share our passion for sport, and our desire to constantly move the needle. Most importantly people who share our values and desire to make a lasting, positive impact in sport.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the senior consultant in the region you will play a pivotal role in aligning TFG’s growth strategy with the local market opportunities. As such, your responsibilities will span across various domains, encompassing both strategic, revenue and delivery functions:

1. Revenue Generation:

  • Support the commercial team in sales pursuits, including building relationships with target clients, developing responses to RFPs, participating in and leading pitches, and closing deals / negotiating commercial terms
  • Represent TFG at industry events to drive our brand visibility
  • Create a mentality of “outside in” rather than “inside out” thinking where the client’s needs are put first and at the core of our outputs and deliverables
  • Work with marketing team to refine regional specific segmentation and content in order to drive efficiencies in the sales process and high quality inbound activity

2. Account Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Key Clients
  • Leverage your network plus the existing TFG accounts in the region to continue our aspirations to build long term relationships with the change agents in the sports ecosystem
  • Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders on both senior and project level to develop a deeper understanding of what drives them and how we can help them

3. Value Proposition Development & IP Creation:

  • Understand TFG’s USPs in the market and continually evolve our go-to-market strategy to ensure we capitalise on our proof points and existing relationships
  • Identify growth opportunities for TFG (new propositions & products, new clients, new markets) and develop detailed proposals to pursue them internally and externally
  • Push the envelope of TFG’s intellectual property and desire to be easy to buy from

4. Market and Competitor analysis:

  • Monitor client, market and competitor activities to ensure TFG continues to unlock value for our partners and operate at the forefront of a fast moving sector

5. Project Delivery / Management:

  • Adopt a ‘client first’ mindset, reflected both in the scoping of project deliverables and in the ongoing management of both the client and the TFG team during projects
  • Work cross-functionally with the consulting, data science and technology teams to deliver projects in line with the agreed scope, on time, to budget, and to the standard required by our clients

Requirements

You must have or be:

  • The right blend of intelligence: a healthy mix of soft and hard skills – at TFG, we value EQ as much as, if not more than, IQ
  • The ability to live up to TFG’s values: Integrity, Curiosity, Positivity and Unity
  • A solid track record: 5+ years experience in strategy consulting, including project management / leadership, in a fast-paced, high-demand environment working across different business functions and capabilities
  • Exceptional Technical and Communication Skills: The ability to communicate technical concepts to clients from a non-analytical background, extracting and presenting the key message to clients.
  • Frontline Obsession: Demonstrated capacity to network effectively, building relationships with key stakeholders and identifying new opportunities
  • A strategic thinker: in particular the ability to align commercial strategies/revenue models with our broader business goals and industry trends.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capability: adept at identifying and solving complex challenges through decisive decision-making.
  • Adaptable and agile: with the rapidly evolving sports landscape, you must be adaptable and open minded to keep TFG and our clients ahead of the curve.
  • Willing to travel: we have a client first mindset which will require both domestic and international travel.
  • US citizenship or the ability to work in the US: This is a permanent role based in NY.
