Challenge

Chelsea’s new ownership recognised that the club had fallen behind rivals in terms of the use of analytics to drive decision making. They needed to establish a best practice approach which ensured insights were informing sporting decisions across the club.

Solution

Through a wide-ranging consultation and shadowing process, we developed a comprehensive set of actionable recommendations for the club across five core success pillars: process, people, data, technology and IP.

The club has been implementing these recommendations, across departments, to accelerate its progress towards becoming an insight-driven organisation.
