Charlton Athletic approached Twenty First Group in 2024 in search of a new Head Coach who could help realise the club’s ambitions of returning to the Championship and building towards long-term success.
Solution
We worked closely with the club’s leadership to define a clear set of success criteria for the role and using our data-driven frameworks, we assessed potential candidates based on tactical fit, historical performance, talent development credentials, and ability to thrive in similar environments.
Impact
By winning the 24/25 League One play-off final, Charlton Athletic gained promotion to the Championship within 18 months of the Head Coach being hired.
